Josef en Maria Kerstkaart

Ik heb nog één week vakantie over. Wat geniet ik van de vrije tijd. Maar ik zit niet stil hoor.

One more week of vacation left. I am enjoying my vacation, though I have plenty of stuff to do.

I am now the owner of a Billy shelve unit. We assembled the shelves and moved it to the proper place in my craft room. Everything moved onto the shelves, but I still need to work out a proper organizing system for my stamps and cutting dies. I will share more in a future blog post.

Just had to buy a new video editing software program. I am still testing it out, and will edit the videos in several ways to see what works the best. Please let me know if you like it or if leave a comment if you have an idea.

My first try is for a non conventional Christmas card with Josef and Mary. My idea is to do a beginning and end of Jezus's life card. More about this later in this post.

Earlier in this blog post I mentioned that I made this card as a representation of the beginning and end of Jezus's life.

This is my thought process for this card:

❇ It begins with Joseph and Mary, as parents of Jesus.
❇ Depending on your view, the text may have many meanings.
❇ Purple is the color of kings.
❇ I chose for a wooden backdrop because Jesus was crucified on a wooden cross.
❇ The circles are for the beginning and end, but also as symbol for God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
❇ The purple circle is still whole and represent the birth of Jesus. The broken wooden circle represents the earthquake that happened when Jesus took his last breath.

The making of this card can be seen in the following video.
